Аннотация: Investigations of carbon steel corrosion were conducted in the model stratum water saturated with hydrogen sulfide. Inhibitive properties of AMDORIC-6, that is, mixture of 10% aminoparafine C12-C18 and 10% imidazoline dissolved in specific mixture of organic solvents, EM-10 (imino-bis-[(ethyl-2)-(C-alkyl of tall oil acids)-(1,3-diazocyclopenten-2)]) and EM-11 (1-(3,6-diazo-8-amine)-(C-alkyl of coco oil acids)-1,3-diazocyclopenten- 2) have been studied by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and for comparison by the weight loss and polarization measurements. The inhibitor concentration was equal to 25-200mg/l. EIS measurements (60 kHz-10 mHz) were carried out at the corrosion potential (Ecor), anodic and cathodic polarization. The suggested equivalent circuit consists of four parallel branches and satisfactorily fits the experimental data obtained in the solutions with and without the inhibitors at Ecor. The observed values of double layer capacity Cdl < 1 ?F/cm2 testify that multilayer adsorption of the inhibitors takes place on the electrode surface. It causes a retardation of the anodic reaction and slightly influences the cathodic one. Inhibitor efficiencies calculated on basis of impedance data qualitatively correlate with those obtained from the weight loss tests and the polarization measurements.

Аннотация: Zinc-containing oil-based compositions containing 75 wt. % zinc powder protect carbon steel in the natural conditions of urban atmosphere for a year with the protective efficiency equal to 96%. More expedient binding is waste motor oil. The insertion of 4 wt.% graphite dust allows to decrease a content of Zn powder in the composition to 60 wt.% without essential alteration of the protective efficiency. The corrosion potential of the steel electrode covered with the oil composition containing 75 wt.% Zn powder or 60 wt.% Zn powder and 4 wt.% graphite dust in the 3% NaCl solution is near Zn electrode potential. The polarization curves are close to ones of metal zinc. The properties of the above oil compositions were studied by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method too. The values of the equivalent scheme parameters satisfactorily correlate with data of the gravimetrical corrosion tests and the results of the polarization measurements and allow to explain the peculiarities of the zinc-containing oil compositions and an influence of their modification with the graphite powder. © Electrochemical Society.
